This Sunday my Adonis took me to the Ventura County Gun
Show...
I choose a modernized Annie Oakley
for my outfit inspiration though perhaps a little more femme than her gun
slinging bad ass self. Lots of silver details and my favorite leather backpack by
Mondani that is a must when I want my hands free for treasure hunting.
Sorry no outfit pictures from the actual event, the
vendors were not so happy with picture taking. I heard one guy selling armored
vests tell some selfie obsessed teenage boys that his booth wasn’t Magic Mountain,
no pictures! Though I love going shooting
and weapons do come with a fabulous array of accessories, a girl can only watch
her man discuss the merits of horizontal vs. vertical holsters for so long. So
I scampered off in search of bullet jewelry or a tongue in cheek T-shirt that
could satisfy my wandering attention span. To my delighted surprise I came
across a booth selling thrifted woman’s clothing. Score!!!!
I snagged this baby
soft light blue Billabong sweater, Lace Shorts and Huge Round Sunnies for less
than 30 bucks. Our friend who accompanied us was in awe that shorts this
fantastic (or in his words, those kind of shorts) could be found at a Gun show.
What can I say? I have radar for radness.
